Pisanki Workshops

Tis the season!… “Pisanki” uses a very old decorating method where hot wax is drawn on an egg to create intricate patterns that is then dyed wonderfully vibrant colors. I am offering four workshops this year, including two on Saturday mornings due to popuPisankilar request. Come learn this technique and take home some of your own beautiful Easter eggs!

  • Wednesday, March 6 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 2 or March 9 – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • Wednesday workshops are held on Capitol Hill at the Polish Cultural Center / Polish Home, 1714 18th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. Limited to 8 participants.
  • Saturday sessions will be held at my studio in West Seattle, 4316 Othello St, Seattle, WA 98136. Limited to 6 participants.

All materials will be provided… Whole and hollow eggs, wax, candles, tools, dyes, etc. I will have a few kits for sale for around $12 each. Depending on how many layers you decide to create, you can expect to finish 2-4 eggs.  Note: Because we use hot wax and candle flames, these workshops are targeted towards adults and teens.

Fee: $20 per person. To reserve a spot with your PayPal prepayment, click on a workshop date below.*
